Project Name

MargaM Reimagined
MargaM Reimagined takes the choreographic world of Bharatanatyam into public space. Sacred gestures, mandala forms, and the visual language of the classical margam repertoire are transformed into large-scale architectural projection mapping — cast across building façades, open to anyone who passes through.
The visual content is drawn from MargaM, DKC's VR dance installation, captured through volumetric technology and reimagined for outdoor presentation. Set to a fusion of Carnatic and dub textures, the work explores lineage, female artistry, and the meeting point of sacred tradition and digital performance.
Created by Divya Kasturi and Dan Shorten (Guildhall Production Studio).
Premiere Vibrance Festival, Guildhall Yard, London — January 2026. Approximately 3,500 passersby across two evenings.
Presenting MargaM Reimagined Available for festivals, public realm events, and outdoor programmes. Adaptable to different architectural contexts and scales. To discuss presenting or co-commissioning, contact Kyla Booth-Lucking, Executive Producer: divyakasturico@gmail.com
